  • Responsible for key client relationship management and converting the client's vision into a deliverable onsite plan.
  • Determine and arrange project management, technical services, and external resources required for the project.
  • Collaborate with the team(s) (client, design team, contractors, and other consultants) and all stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Demonstrate Mace's value of safety first, exhibiting visible safety behaviours.
  • Provide subject matter knowledge to support teams from broader Mace projects and business units.
  • Procure and manage design and wider consultant team(s) and project stakeholders for effective completion of responsibilities.
  • Produce design and authorities programme integrated with procurement and delivery programme.
  • Manage timely and successful delivery to programme from project inception through all phases.
  • Deliver project objectives in line with the execution plan, directing and managing project teams to achieve strategic KPIs.
  • Prepare and modify project plans, keeping them updated over the course of projects.
  • Oversee project timeframes and budgets, ensuring successful delivery and highlighting risks and challenges.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to ensure robust quality systems are managed and monitored.
  • Direct and record relevant meetings, providing contextual information and analysis.
  • Partner with stakeholders in risk management and mitigation treatments.
  • Effectively coordinate and communicate with all project stakeholders, ensuring completion of responsibilities.
  • Take ownership of project changes, tracking and formalising them within agreed timeframes.
  • Ensure approved handover documentation is coordinated and provided prior to practical completion.
  • Promote and drive business priorities through construction to production, digital and data, and responsible business.
  • Actively network and seek understanding of best practices.

You'll need to have:
  • Proven successful experience in project management, managing medium-sized projects.
  • Developed communication, presentation, and project planning skills.
  • Budgetary oversight expertise.
  • Advanced proficiency in communicating and coordinating activities with stakeholders.
  • Proven understanding of project management methodologies and practices.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proactively manage internal budgets and fees.
  • Competency in understanding construction methodologies and sequencing.
  • Developed bidding skills.
  • Proficient knowledge in specific sector/market of project/role.
  • Relevant technical qualification/certification for project portfolio.
  • Sound technical expertise in health and safety executive (HSE) rules relevant to the project.
  • Knowledge of consultancy, construction, infrastructure, and property sectors.
  • Advanced communication skills to guide others to achieve project KPIs.
  • Good interpersonal skills for reports and relationship building.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills for planning and procurement issues.
  • Developed commercial and financial skills.
  • Substantial previous experience in a project management role on medium-sized or complex projects.
  • Experience in the construction delivery phase of projects.
  • MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or local equivalent.
  • Tertiary qualifications in related discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Appropriate Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card or local equivalent.
