Role Overview

We are looking for a Market Specialist to join our Financial Market Infrastructure (FMI) team. In this role, you will monitor developments in post-trade processes across global capital markets and assess financial market infrastructure entities. You will conduct research, analyze risk mitigation measures, and produce reports that support our clients—global custody banks and other financial institutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze up to 15 financial markets in a designated region (Europe, Americas, Asia-Pacific, Middle East, or North Africa).
  • Research and assess changes in financial regulations, market operations, and post-trade infrastructure.
  • Write and validate market intelligence reports and newsletters for global and regional custody banks.
  • Maintain up-to-date qualitative data and risk assessments on financial market infrastructure entities.
  • Work closely with Senior Analysts and Network Managers to ensure accurate and high-quality market information.
  • Identify trends and developments in financial markets and support broader risk analysis.
  • Travel internationally to conduct operational reviews of financial intermediaries, including sub-custodians, Central Securities Depositories (CSDs), Central Banks, and Stock Exchanges.
  • Assist with client inquiries and attend client meetings as required.

Required Qualifications & Skills

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or related fields.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in financial analysis, risk management, or market infrastructure (2+ years preferred).
  • Language: Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken).
  • Knowledge: Basic understanding of financial markets and operational risk (experience in post-trade or custody services is a plus).
  • Strong analytical, research, and communication skills.
