About the Position We’re looking for a Backend Engineer (TypeScript / AWS) to join an AI-driven EdTech platform transforming the way students and publishers interact with digital courseware. You’ll work directly with the CTO , contributing to the design, development, and scaling of core backend systems that power the platform. This is a hands‑on role with real ownership — you’ll help build new features, improve system performance, and ensure a seamless, scalable experience as the product continues to grow. Responsibilities Build and maintain backend services and APIs in collaboration with the CTO. Design and implement scalable, high‑performance features. Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices. Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve tickets quickly and effectively. Manage deployments and contribute to infrastructure reliability. Support and enhance CI/CD pipelines and backend automation. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to deliver innovative solutions. Participate in design reviews and contribute to product and architecture discussions. Requirements 2–5 years of professional experience in backend development. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Strong proficiency in TypeScript and AWS Lambda . Hands‑on experience with AWS RDS and backend caching architecture. Solid understanding of AWS infrastructure and deployment workflows . Strong debugging and problem‑solving skills. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Proactive and self‑driven, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a remote team environment. Nice To Have Experience with GraphQL or other modern API frameworks. Familiarity with serverless architecture patterns and microservices . Exposure to AI/ML‑based systems or interest in working with AI‑driven platforms. Understanding of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
