We are responsible for financial planning, reporting, budgeting, and performance analysis, providing clear insights that support informed decision-making across the organization. A key part of our expertise lies in tax management and compliance. The team ensures accurate tax reporting, adherence to local and international tax regulations, and proactive tax planning to optimize efficiency while minimizing risk. We work closely with internal stakeholders and external advisors to stay ahead of regulatory changes and ensure full compliance. Challenges That Await You A Rapidly Evolving Environment: Operate within a fast-paced and constantly changing regulatory and business landscape, requiring agility and proactive adaptation. Building Tax Processes from the Ground Up: Design, implement, and scale end-to-end tax processes to support rapid company growth and increasing transaction volumes. Complex Products & High-Volume Operations: Ensure tax accuracy in diverse product structures and large-scale digital operations, where precision is critical. Automation & Tool Implementation: Lead efforts to automate tax workflows, implement technology solutions, and enhance data integrity, reporting speed, and operational efficiency. Balancing Innovation with Compliance: Manage the tension between strict regulatory requirements and the company's need for product innovation and fast execution. Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Coordinate effectively with multiple stakeholders while maintaining accuracy, accountability, and adherence to tight deadlines. What Makes You a Great Fit Relevant Experience: 5 years of experience in Tax Management roles within regulated financial institutions, Big Four tax advisory, or high-growth Fintechs. Experience overseeing operational taxes, tax compliance cycles, and tax planning at scale. Deep Regulatory Knowledge: Strong understanding of Colombian tax regulations, including IVA, ICA, retefuente, GMF, and applicable sector-specific obligations. Experience interpreting regulatory updates and assessing their operational and financial impact. Tax Strategy & Optimization: Proven experience designing and implementing tax strategies that improve compliance, reduce risk, and optimize the company's tax position. Ability to analyze tax implications of new products, business models, and cross-border activities. Audit & Authority Management: Direct experience managing tax audits, responding to DIAN and local authority inquiries, preparing supporting documentation, and representing the company during regulatory reviews. Product & Operational Understanding: Hands-on experience supporting digital or financial products, understanding how product design, transaction flows, and customer behavior affect tax calculation, reporting accuracy, and compliance obligations. Process, Automation & Data Skills: Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with SQL or tax data automation tools is preferred. The role is highly hands-on during the first 1–2 years, requiring the setup of tax calculation models, reconciliation processes, and reporting tools from scratch. Leadership & Communication: Ability to influence senior leadership, communicate complex tax matters with clarity, and collaborate with Legal, Finance, Operations, Product, and Compliance teams. Experience building or leading tax committees, governance processes, or cross-functional decision forums is a plus. English proficiency.
