Role Description This is a full‑time, on‑site role located in Medellín for an IT Support Engineer. The IT Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, troubleshooting technical issues, analyzing system performance, and ensuring smooth IT Infrastructure operations. The role also involves handling queries, facilitating effective communication, and addressing IT‑related concerns to ensure uninterrupted business processes. Qualifications It is essential to have a B2 level of English or higher (80% to 90%), fluent and highly conversational, as you will be communicating with the client and participating in meetings in this language. Be a graduated Systems Technologist or Systems Engineering. Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT Support. Solid knowledge in the administration of CISCO or HPE Aruba switches and networks. Solid knowledge in the administration and configuration of Microsoft Windows Server (AD, DNS, DHCP, GPO, File and Print Server, etc). Management and administration of firewalls (Fortinet is a plus). Knowledge in the configuration and administration of virtualization platforms (VMware is a plus). Knowledge of VoIP applications (Softphone or call center platforms). Functions Provide support, improvement, and maintenance for all IT equipment. Participate in the management of servers, network equipment, security, Internet connections, network cabling, and the virtualization platform. Ensure that all systems, on‑site or remote, within the company’s business operations, run smoothly. Update the hardware and software required for the maintenance of servers, the network, and workstations when necessary. Troubleshoot any network and connectivity issues that may cause service interruptions. Monitor, detect, and proactively resolve issues in IT systems and applications. Ensure the smooth flow of data and voice across the company’s IT platform. Provide technical support to workstations and end users on computers running Windows 10 and 11.
