You will be part of a high-performance engineering team as a Lead Engineer that delivers the product backlog of Ascend Cloud Foundation Platform.You will work closely with other Software Engineers to bothmaintainexisting systems and build our cloud-native microservices and web applications using the latest technologies and architectural patterns Key Responsibilities Working as a lead engineer in an agile team to deliver high-quality software solutions within agreed timelines, ensuring alignment with business requirements and agile principles. Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for the design, development, and delivery of high-quality software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and agile principles. Take ownership of the overall technical architecture, ensuring scalability, performance, security, and maintainability of the software systems. Champion the adoption of best practices in software development, including clean code, maintainability, efficient coding standards, andDevSecOpspractices. Collaborate closely with cross-functional team members, including product owners, designers, QA, and other stakeholders, to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with businessobjectives. Lead technical discussions and decision-making processes, ensuring alignment with architectural standards, long-term technical strategy, and business goals. Manage technical risks and issues, proactivelyidentifyingpotential challenges and developing mitigation strategies. Provide clear and concise documentation for code, processes, and system architecture tofacilitateknowledge sharing and maintainability for yourself and the team. Translating business requirements to clean, scalable code ensuring minimal defects for yourself and the team. Mentor and guide senior & junior developers, providing technicalexpertise, code reviews. Learn more at experianplc.com Experience and Skills Qualification and Personal Skills: Qualified with a degree in B.Sc. in Computer Science, MCA in Computer Science, Bachelor of Technology in Engineering, or higher. Minimum10years of experience working in software development with atleast X years of experience leading a team currently. Proven experience leading and collaborating within cross-functional teams throughout the full software development lifecycle,leveragingAgile methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) to deliver high-quality solutions efficiently. Strong leadership capabilities with a focus on setting clear direction, aligning team efforts with organizational goals, andmaintaininghigh levelsof motivation and engagement across the team. Skilled in working with geographically distributed teams, fostering inclusive collaboration across diverse cultures and backgrounds to enhance productivity and innovation. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas, solutions, and feedback clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Adept at managing conflict constructively andfacilitatingconsensus. Proventrack recordof building secure, mission-critical, high-volume transaction web-based software systems, preferably in regulated environments (finance and insurance industries). Passionate in solving technical business problems, designingsolutionsand developing. Proficient in translating business requirement to clean, scalable code defined as the acceptance criteria with the applicable design patterns and security best practices Strong individual contributor and team player, capable of collaborating effectively within cross-functional teams. Required Technical Skills/Knowledge: Hands-on experience with .NET 6+ or .NET Core or .NET Framework building scalable,maintainableand performant REST/SOAP/RPC APIs with microservice or SOA architectures using ASP.NET withproficiencyin C#. Hands on experience withScalaand Python andbig data frameworks (e.g. spark), Batch Processing. Experience with any of streaming, messaging, event bus technologies while build event driven architecture either Kafka, Event Bridge, Kinesis, Rabbit MQ, Active MQ or any other message bus. Proficient in writing high-quality unit and integration tests usingxUnitornUnit, with hands-on experience inTest-Driven Development (TDD)andBehaviour-Driven Development (BDD). Skilled in using mocking frameworks to ensure test reliability and alignment with acceptance criteria. Skilled in creating and reviewing high-level and low-level design documents. Strong understanding of architectural principles, clean architecture, SOLID principles, OOP, design patterns, and concurrency concepts. Collaborates effectively with architects and business stakeholders to ensureoptimaldesign outcomes. Committed to writing clean, scalable, and secure code. Experienced in conducting code reviews and applying design patterns and security best practices. Familiar with static code analysis tools and vulnerability management Proficient in working with either SQL or NoSQL databases. Hands-on experience with Entity Framework and data modelling for performance and scalability. Working experience of any source control, preferably git (e.g. Bitbucket, GitHub, Gitlab) Strong knowledge and experience of Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) practices Passionate about mentoring and upskilling junior developers. Encourages knowledge sharing and fosters a culture of continuous learning and improvement. Identifying, creating,maintainingor re-using existing / new frameworks as much as possible. Experience on static code quality analysis tools, vulnerability management. Useful & Desirableskills: Working knowledge orcertifications relevant to public cloud,preferablyAWS. Working knowledge of AWS Batch, AWS Glue, AWS EMR, AWS S3 is a big plus. Familiarity withInfrastructure as Code (IaC)usingTerraformor AWS CloudFormation or Cloud Development Kit. Working knowledgein setting up CI CDtools likeJenkins,GitHubActions, Gitlab CI. Working andexpertisein using GEN AI tools for software development & testing. Experience working with Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Architecture. Practical experience with Docker and Kubernetes for containerized application development, deployment, and orchestration.
