We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Administrator to join our dynamic team. This role is crucial for managing and optimizing our cloud infrastructure to support our data architects and reporting analysts, ensuring high performance and reliability of our data operations. As Google Cloud Platform Administrator, You Will… Administer and manage Google Cloud Platform services and infrastructure, supporting solutions including BigQuery, Bigtable, and Compute Engine Collaborate with data architects to implement and maintain scalable and efficient GCP environments tailored to the company's data handling and analysis needs Respond to and resolve infrastructure issues, providing tier-2 support as needed to ensure continuous service availability and performance Work with reporting analysts to optimize data flows, queries, and storage to improve report generation speed and accuracy Implement and maintain security policies and compliance in line with company standards and regulatory requirements, managing IAM roles and permissions Configure and maintain security groups, firewall rules, and other network security measures (isolation and segmentation) to prevent unauthorized access with guidance from the IT Network Engineering and Security Teams Configure Google Cloud security tools such as Security Command Center, Event Threat Detection, and Cloud Security Scanner to export event and alert data for monitoring by the centralized Security Team Manage data encryption methods both at rest and in transit with guidance from the Security Team Automate common operations and deployment tasks using scripting languages and GCP automation tools Monitor cloud resources, analyze usage statistics, and implement cost-saving measures to manage expenses effectively Stay updated with new GCP features and technologies, assessing their potential benefit and applicability to our business needs Document configurations, procedures, and changes in the cloud environment Facilitate the migration of services and applications to GCP, ensuring minimal downtime and data integrity As Google Cloud Platform Administrator, You Have… Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Proven 2+ years experience as a cloud administrator, specifically with Google Cloud Platform services Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure management and deployment, including compute, networking, storage, and database GCP services Understanding of core network security concepts such as network segmentation (VLANs, subnetting), and access control (Firewalls, ACLs) and how to apply those concepts in a Google cloud environment Experience with infrastructure as code tools (e.g., Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager) Proficient in scripting languages such as Python and/or Bash for automation tasks Google Cloud Certified at a professional or higher level in IT or Cybersecurity Experience in a BPO or similar high-demand IT environment Solid knowledge of SQL and experience with database administration Familiarity with data governance and compliance standards relevant to BPOs Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members and other stakeholders #J-18808-Ljbffr
