Buyer

The Buyer plays a key role in driving efficient and innovative procurement solutions. This position goes beyond traditional purchasing by focusing on sourcing high-quality products, negotiating competitive pricing, and ensuring regulatory compliance to meet the needs of a diverse clientele. Additionally, the Buyer is essential in the distribution of BAA- and TAA-compliant plumbing, HVAC, and building products. By fostering strong supplier relationships, optimizing supply chain processes, and collaborating across teams, the Buyer ensures timely project execution and contributes to exceptional service, industry leadership, and lasting customer partnerships.

Key Responsabilities:

Procurement & Vendor Relations

• Source and procure products that meet customer needs while securing the best terms for pricing, availability, and quality. Establish and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure consistent performance and explore new opportunities to diversify the vendor pool.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory standards, including BAA/TAA, and ensure adherence to supplier minimums.
• Take proactive measures to evaluate new vendors and enhance supply chain efficiency.

Quoting & Pricing Coordination

• Manage the quoting process to ensure pricing accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
• Collaborate with sales teams to deliver quotes that align with company strategies and customer expectations.
• Oversee the development of cost sheets and support the sales team with timely and precise pricing information.
• Monitor and manage data entry in NetSuite, ensuring accurate tracking of procurement-related information.
• Track purchase orders and coordinate with vendors to maintain timely delivery schedules.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Serve as a key point of communication between procurement, sales, and fulfillment teams to streamline order processing and ensure project timelines are met.
• Partner with sales to align vendor offerings with customer project requirements and objectives.
• Work closely with the fulfillment team to ensure product availability and on-time delivery.

Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure that all products meet applicable regulatory requirements and supplier guidelines.
• Identify potential risks in the supply chain and implement strategies to mitigate disruptions.
• Stay informed on industry regulations and market trends to maintain competitive positioning.

Experience and Knowledge:

• Familiarity with the plumbing, HVAC, or building materials industries is highly desirable.
• Experience in managing procurement processes in project-based environments.
• Proven experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management.
• Strong negotiation skills and the ability to establish long-term partnerships with suppliers. Knowledge of regulatory compliance standards, including BAA/TAA requirements.
• Excellent organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work across diverse teams.
• Proficiency in procurement and data management software (NetSuite experience is a plus).
• Ability to anticipate supply chain challenges and develop effective contingency plans.
