Job Summary:
The Jr. OC Analyst is responsible for administrating and supporting client’s operating system environments according to best practices, ensuring high levels of system availability and performance.
Responsibilities:- Interpret alerts for operating system issues, hardware performance, security vulnerabilities, and other basic systems management tasks.
- Manage alerts for Microsoft Windows Server OS services such as DHCP, DNS, AD, and CA.
- Respond to events to ensure the highest level of system and infrastructure availability.
- Collaborate with client application teams to resolve operating system, availability, and performance-related issues.
- Monitor security, backup, and redundancy systems according to predefined standards.
- Work closely with and support the IT Service Desk, Engineering team, and vendors to expedite issue resolution.
- Regularly review logs of events based on organization/client requirements.
- Properly administer assigned tickets, including documentation, updates, and managing ticket performance.
Experience:
- Experience with the basic administration of Windows servers, including a fundamental understanding of networking infrastructure.
- Demonstrated familiarity of Active Directory.
- Work experience in Computer Science. (Nice to Have)
- 1+ years of work experience in a related field preferred. (Nice to Have)
Education:
- A High School degree is a prerequisite for this position.
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, IT or equivalent working experience. (Nice to Have)
- Basic knowledge of the ITIL framework.
- Basic knowledge of Active Directory services.
- Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems (Nice to Have) .
- Knowledge of disaster recovery techniques.
- Be familiar with Microsoft Office 365 and email security applications.
- Understanding of virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with cloud computing concepts and basic operations.
- Understanding of infrastructure operations management, including backup, antivirus, and patching.
- Actively seeks ways to help clients and ensures a positive customer experience.
- Uses logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Demonstrates honesty and adheres to strong moral principles in all professional interactions.
- Actively collaborates with team members to achieve a common goal or complete tasks effectively and efficiently.
- Demonstrates the ability to adapt to changed circumstances or environments, learning from experience to improve competitiveness.
- Possess the capacity to understand and analyze situations when multiple issues or tasks arise simultaneously, working in the correct order based on impact and urgency.
- Proficiency in English and Spanish (Oral and writing at 85% or higher), with a minimum of B2 level proficiency in both languages being a requirement.
