We are seeking a highly motivated and hands-on Marketing and Content Manager based in Medellin, Colombia to establish and scale Ballast Lane Applications inbound marketing engine. This role is responsible for transforming our internal technical expertise and thought leadership into compelling, lead-generating content that drives measurable business growth. You will collaborate closely with executive leadership, sales, and technical subject matter experts to build a sustainable inbound channel that moves the company beyond founder-led networking and into a consistent pipeline of qualified inbound opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Design and execute a comprehensive inbound marketing and content strategy across website, SEO, social media, email, and events to generate qualified leads for custom software development services. Define and maintain foundational marketing assets, including Ideal Client Profiles (buyer personas) and a structured editorial/content calendar. Establish clear KPIs for inbound marketing performance and report results monthly, delivering actionable insights to executive leadership. Recommend, implement, and manage marketing technology tools such as marketing automation platforms, CRM integrations, and SEO tools to optimize efficiency and impact. Proactively coordinate and conduct structured interviews with technical leads, developers, and executive stakeholders to extract technical insights, project narratives, and thought leadership. Ghostwrite, edit, and produce high-quality B2B content, including: SEO-optimized blog posts and articles aligned with core services and technical trends. Client case studies and success stories highlighting problems, solutions, and measurable outcomes. Lead-generation assets such as white papers, e-books, webinars, and gated content. Website copy that ensures clarity, consistency, and strong value messaging across all digital properties. Manage content distribution, optimization, scheduling, and promotion across relevant channels, with a primary focus on LinkedIn. Lead SEO initiatives, including technical audits, keyword research, and ongoing content optimization to improve organic visibility and qualified traffic. Design, write, and manage segmented email campaigns and newsletters for prospects, clients, and alumni, emphasizing value-driven messaging and clear calls to action. Develop and organize sales enablement materials such as presentations, one-pagers, and proposal content to support consistent value articulation. Partner with the sales team to define Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) criteria and ensure a seamless handoff into the sales pipeline. Coordinate and support participation in relevant industry events, conferences, and networking initiatives, both virtual and in-person. Create and distribute employer branding content that highlights Ballast Lanes technical culture, career growth opportunities, and work-life balance. Required qualifications: 3–5 years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with a strong focus on inbound and content marketing within technology, SaaS, or custom software development environments. Demonstrated ability to interview technical SMEs, research complex topics, and translate them into clear, compelling business-focused content. Deep working knowledge of inbound marketing methodologies, technical and on-page SEO best practices, keyword research, and performance analytics. Hands‑on experience with marketing automation and CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce) and content management systems such as WordPress. Professional working proficiency in English (written and verbal) for collaboration with US‑based leadership and client audiences; Spanish proficiency is a strong plus. Strategic marketer capable of translating high-level business objectives into detailed, executable plans. Highly accountable professional comfortable owning the full marketing function from strategy through execution. Strong collaborator who builds effective relationships with executive stakeholders and busy technical teams across time zones.
