Your new position As Director, Scientific Communications, you will set the global vision, standards, and strategy for scientific communications across Zealand Pharma’s assets. The role centers on scientific communication strategy and planning, including message development, omnichannel strategy with a strong digital focus, and impact measurement. You will collaborate widely across Medical Affairs and cross‑functional partners and provide strategic direction to secure excellence in scientific communication. We Offer Exciting Responsibilities Secure Scientific Communication Plan across therapeutic assets and incorporate in Medical Affairs Plan Define the global congress strategy framework across assets and therapy areas in collaboration with Medical Directors Design wide‑ranging omnichannel engagement strategies for scientific stakeholders, with emphasis on digital opportunities suppor Lead insight‑driven planning and analytics; define KPIs, dashboards, and test‑and‑learn approaches to optimize channel mix and content performance Coordinate cross‑functional alignment (Medical Affairs, Clinical, Biostatistics, Regulatory, Commercial) on scientific messaging and activation Set standards and ways of working for compliant, consistent content creation and lifecycle management (e.g., scientific Q&A, medical education) Your profile A strategic, structured communicator and trusted expert who converts complex science into clear, credible narratives and integrated engagement plans. Brings extensive experience in Communications, Medical Affairs or the pharmaceutical industry, with strong command of omnichannel and digital activation for scientific audiences. Comfortable making high‑impact decisions and collaborating across disciplines while maintaining clear delineation with publications. More than 10 years’ experience in Medical Affairs, the pharmaceutical industry or medical communication agency Deep expertise in scientific communications strategy development, omnichannel planning, and channel selection across digital and in‑person touchpoints Proven experience with digital activation and analytics (e.g., compliant social/digital engagement, search/discoverability, platform analytics) Experience in obesity and broader metabolic health therapy areas is beneficial Experience from the US market pre- and post launch is beneficial Advanced degree in life sciences is preferred Your new team You will join the Medical Affairs Operations team within Zealand Pharma, partnering closely with Medical Directors, US Medical Affairs, Operations, Commercial, Clinical Development, Biostatistics, Regulatory. The role is based in Denmark and travel will be needed for conferences and collaboration with colleagues in the US.
