This Position Reports To Operations Manager Your Role And Responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to grow our robotics business by expanding into the laboratory automation space. Leveraging our broad portfolio of products and cutting‑edge technology, Service Robotics is focused on bringing the benefits of automation to customers in healthcare, life sciences, and laboratory environments—enhancing precision, throughput, and efficiency in research and diagnostics. As part of the Service Robotics Operations team, you will have the opportunity to lead the execution of medium‑size projects acting as the technical lead for all engineering activities and ensuring that all engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost‑effective manner, in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and cybersecurity policies and standards. In this role, you'll help run what runs the world, by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact. Work Model You will be mainly accountable for: Support the proposal phase by engaging with customers to clarify requirements, define and adjust project scope, contribute to concept design, prepare technical solutions, estimate costs, assess risks, and coordinate vendor evaluations. Taking a leading role on the engineering phase of the project by collaborating with the proposals team, the project manager and the project engineers on the translation of conceptual designs to engineering documentation, including modelling, prototyping, and calculations. Leading, supervising, and coordinating teams in all engineering disciplines (both in‑house and outsourced) on projects. Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors. Contributing to R&D projects and standardization activities to drive innovation, improve processes, and ensure consistency across solutions. Qualifications For The Role You are highly skilled in and passionate about working with robotics systems and automation. Familiarity with the laboratory automation domain and the life sciences market is a plus. You bring 4 years of experience in robotics, automation, or laboratory technologies, with a proven track record of delivering complex projects. You have hands‑on experience supporting proposal phases, including engaging in customer discussions to clarify requirements and expectations, defining and adjusting scope based on technical and commercial constraints, designing and presenting tailored technical solutions, estimating costs and budgets, qualifying and coordinating vendors, identifying and mitigating risks, and preparing comprehensive technical and commercial documentation. You are driven by innovation and collaboration, with strong stakeholder management, problem‑solving, and cross‑functional leadership skills. You hold a degree in Engineering or a related field, with extensive knowledge of robotics and automation technologies. You have excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
