We are looking for a Bilingual Director of Media to join our team in Bogotá. As the Director of Media, you are the strategic and operational leader of the Media Department. You oversee a team of planners, buyers, and specialists, ensuring flawless campaign execution and long‑term success for our clients across all paid media channels. This role blends high‑level strategy, team leadership, vendor oversight, and financial accountability. You set the vision for media performance, develop new offerings, mentor talent, and represent the agency’s media POV in client engagements and industry forums. With deep expertise across digital and traditional channels, you ensure that the media team operates with precision, agility, and impact. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's title in marketing, advertisement, media or related +4 years as SEO leading teams Management of budgets of over 5 million USD US Visa is high desirable Expertise spanning all forms of digital media (paid search, paid social, programmatic, CTV, etc.) and SEO Knowledge and understanding of traditional media channels Expertise with Google Analytics Knowledge and understanding of Google Tag Manager, setting up tracking/tagging Knowledge and understanding of Google DoubleClick ad serving, tracking and reporting expertise Experience with Customer Relationship Management system (SalesForce) Ability to travel between office locations, industry trade shows, and client locations (domestic/international) Responsibilities: Strategic Direction Requires broad knowledge and expertise of Tambourine’s goals, needs of the business, products, best practices and theories. Strong quantitative and analytical abilities to turn data into action. Identify key business challenges and needs in the SEO and paid media space and recommend solutions. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex ideas and influence executive leadership. Indirectly provide leadership and guidance across departments. Communicate company‑wide communication regarding performance media. Assemble reports on performance media for leadership. Help assemble case studies for marketing and business development. Client Support Provide client relationship support regarding SEO and paid media strategy and plans, performance reporting and manage client expectations. Demonstrate confidence, poised under pressure and ability to lead through ambiguity and loosely defined client goals. Analyzes problems, escalates issues and provides resolution. Work with the sales team to understand new business rfp/scope needs, timeline and priority, and recommend solutions. Ensure that the work is built and delivered as agreed. Team Management Build and instill trust within the team. Provide leadership, build consensus, and give direction to the department that aligns with Tambourine’s business goals. Responsible for providing direction, ongoing development/training and daily management of the team. Provide perspective in the prioritization of projects and tasks. Ensure the team meets deadlines, scope, budget (over/under), quality control, maintenance and optimizations. Responsible for hiring, performance reviews, promotions, salary recommendations and terminations. Operations Assists in actively researching and evaluating media vendors. Maintain media vendor relationships to keep apprised of new products, updates and releases. Analyze problems and escape issues to vendors in a timely manner for quick resolution. Negotiate scope, terms and pricing keeping Tambourine’s business goals and budget top‑of‑mind. Ensure accuracy in vendor receipts/invoices.
