Senior Business Analyst, Data Quality

Requisition ID: We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaGBS Overview The incumbent is responsible for managing end to end Data Quality and Quality Assurance which entails managing manual checks, automated queries, the Data Quality tool, report creations and ad-hoc requests. This includes analyzing and executing on operational efficiencies, including but not limited to system enhancements, process change improvements, regulatory and compliance requirements and supporting prioritized initiatives across Global HR Operations. You will contribute to the overall success of Global HR Operations by ensuring specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. All activities must be conducted in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures. Responsibilities Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. Assists with the development of strategies, recommendations, including business benefits and costs, implementation, training and change management strategies Completes business analysis and consults with business sponsors/stakeholders to explore, assess and recommend business solutions. Supports the team with: Analysis of workflow processes and procedures Root cause and gap analysis and the design of future state workflow processes and procedures and analyzes system flows. Determining business impact for changes in processes and procedures Defining system application requirements for modifications to existing processes, or the creation of new applications and/or processes Preparing requirement documents for Development and lead walkthrough discussions Executing test cases and documenting any defects Documents and coordinates training and communication Business stakeholder sessions Implementation of operational effectiveness plans and solutions Understands how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions. Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. Reporting Relationships Primary Manager: Manager, Data Quality & Quality Assurance, Global HR Operations Direct Reports: NA Dimensions 400,000+ Annual Transactions/Inquiries Globally – All Channels (Phone, Email, On-demand, Manager & Employee Self-Serve) 115,000+ Annual Phone Inquiries 60 Countries supported Globally 300+ Global Processes/Services supported 300+ FTE in Global HR Operations (Canada, Bogota & US) Education / Experience / Other Information Post-secondary degree in Human Resource, Business (Operations), Science, Engineering or HR Technology Competence in systematically solving problems using appropriate process improvement methodologies to analyze complex data/information from different cross-functional teams, both locally and globally Strong knowledge of Human Resource policies, procedures, systems and operational processes Strong knowledge keying and fixing errors in Employee Central, understanding data mismatches and downstream impacts including Time & Attendance and SAP Payroll Sound judgement to evaluate and analyze information, and effectively resolve issues Excellent oral, written and presentation communication skills Operational Excellence Certification – Six Sigma Black Belt and Design For Six Sigma LEAN and Six-Sigma concepts & principles Strong scientific and analytical understanding of processes and quality systems Excellent math abilities and working knowledge of data analysis/statistical methods PMP would be an asset Bilingual English and Spanish Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota Scotia GBS is a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia created to support different processes of the Bank and the development and execution of its global services strategy in 15 countries in the Americas.
