Software Engineer Associate Join Scotiabank's ScotiaTech, a technology hub in Bogota, Colombia, where you will support the Branch Operations & QA service layer for the CCA region. Purpose Contribute to the overall success of the Branch Operations & QA service layer by ensuring that individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives for the CCA region, while ensuring all activities comply with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. Accountabilities Champion a customer‑focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. Implement, maintain, and support application releases to meet business needs and scale as the organization grows. Provide specialized technical leadership in analysis, design, development, implementation, and support for full‑stack environments, introducing new technologies and guiding all development projects. Participate in the full systems life cycle: design, code, test, implement, and support CIAD pipelines delivered on time and within budget. Create scripts for pre and post‑deployment tasks. Recommend new code or reuse of existing code. Support IT areas with development assistance, ensuring testing and implementation are understood. Consider the bank’s risk appetite and culture in day‑to‑day activities and decisions. Support after‑hours and weekend release deployments. Flexibility for evening and weekend work required. Promote effective operations aligned with Scotiabank values, code of conduct, and global principles, ensuring adherence to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk controls. Champion high‑performance and inclusive work environments. Reporting Relationships Primary Manager: Senior Manager Direct Reports: None Shared Reports: None Dimensions Individual contributor. Support International Business Systems in departmental deliverables. Manage multiple projects across departments with competing priorities. Interact with multiple departments; understanding role boundaries is essential to meet deadlines. Education / Experience Computer Science diploma or degree, or related experience (+3 years). Proficiency in .NET, Java, Python, SOAP, web services, and SQL. Experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban). SAFE is a plus. Working Conditions Standard office‑based environment.
