Head of GBS Finance & Accounting Department: Global Business Services – Finance & Accounting About the Role We are seeking an experienced, strategic, and dynamic leader to serve as the Centre Head of GBS – Finance & Accounting for our Bogotá operations. This role oversees all financial and accounting activities, ensuring alignment with global standards, compliance with regulatory frameworks, and the execution of strategic business goals. The ideal candidate will bring senior leadership expertise, deep financial acumen, and the ability to inspire and develop high-performing teams. Lead the development and execution of financial strategies to achieve organizational objectives. Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning. Provide strategic insights and recommendations to senior leadership and key stakeholders. Manage end-to-end accounting functions: general ledger, AP/AR, payroll, and tax accounting. Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Guarantee compliance with IFRS/GAAP and oversee all reconciliation processes. Ensure adherence to local, regional, and global financial regulations. Oversee internal audits, implementing corrective actions when required. Strengthen internal controls to safeguard assets and optimize operations. Lead, mentor, and develop finance and accounting teams. Promote collaboration across business units and foster continuous improvement. Conduct performance evaluations and set strategic team objectives. Supervise preparation and delivery of comprehensive financial reports. Drive financial analysis to identify trends, risks, and business opportunities. Lead cost optimization and profitability improvement initiatives. Act as the primary liaison for external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies. Maintain strong relationships with internal teams to ensure efficient decision-making. Serve as a trusted financial advisor to senior management. Oversee financial systems such as SAP or Oracle to ensure efficiency and scalability. Drive process optimization and continuous improvement in financial operations. Implement digital and data-driven enhancements across accounting functions. Qualifications & Skills Education Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Master’s degree or MBA preferred. CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification is mandatory. Experience 15+ years of experience in Finance & Accounting, including 12+ years in leadership roles. Strong knowledge of Colombian tax laws, accounting regulations, and compliance frameworks. Experience in managing large teams within multinational organizations. Proven record in financial planning, analysis, and compliance management. Technical & Professional Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Expertise in financial systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar). Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written).
