Chemonics International Colombia S.A.S., a subsidiary of Chemonics International Inc., is seeking an experienced Senior Specialist to support the effective financial and administrative management of the Colombia Regional Office (CRO). The successful candidate will bridge the gap between the Accountant and the Sr. Operations Manager by managing essential financial and administrative tasks, ensuring alignment with company policies and local regulations.

About the Role

This role is responsible for leading the preparation of monthly financial reports and budget summaries, monitoring operational expenses, and suggesting cost-effective solutions. The Senior Specialist will also support procurement processes, review vendor agreements, and ensure payment compliance. Additionally, they will assist in managing the CRO's operations budget, financial processes, and administrative support systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance and administration, with experience working in international organizations. They should be proficient in financial reporting and accounting software, such as SIIGO, and have knowledge of Colombian labor laws, tax rules, and procurement procedures. Strong organizational and multitasking skills are essential, as well as the ability to travel to support operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead preparation of monthly financial reports and budget summaries
  • Monitor operational expenses and suggest cost-effective solutions
  • Support procurement processes, including reviewing vendor agreements and ensuring payment compliance
  • Assist in managing the CRO's operations budget, financial processes, and administrative support systems
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, accounting, or related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in operations, finance, and administration
  • Experience with preparing financial reporting with Colombia commercial entity requirements
  • Knowledge of financial reporting and accounting software (e.g. SIIGO)
  • Proficient with Colombian labor laws, tax rules, and procurement procedures
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills

We offer a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for professional growth and development.
