Role Overview

The Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and executing automated tests for cloud-based applications. This position requires a strong understanding of agile methodologies, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and automation frameworks (Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity).

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product management and development teams to create and review automated test requirements.
  • Analyze test results and coordinate with development teams for issue resolution and test enhancements.
  • Develop and maintain suites of automation regression tests to ensure quality assurance in existing features.
  • Work closely with product teams to develop acceptance criteria for user stories and automate tests based on these criteria.
  • Develop and manage the execution and reporting of automated tests at regular intervals during the development life cycle.
  • Design and develop scripts, conditions, assertions, data, and expected results for cloud-based applications.
  • Develop a good understanding of working with CI/CD automation methodologies.
  • Contribute to clean code development, use SOLID principles, and participate in code reviews.
  • Participate in all-hands testing using the manual regression test suite as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or MIS.
  • 2+ years of experience in Enterprise Java or C#/.Net engineering.
  • 2+ years of experience in dedicated automated testing.
  • Experience with developing or using automation frameworks to optimize the creation of automated tests.
  • Experience in writing database queries using Oracle and SQL Server.
  • Expertise in automated testing.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.

  • Strong innovative and analytical abilities.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming languages.
  • Ability to analyze root causes of test automation issues and provide corrective actions.
  • Experience working on an agile team.
  • Competence in working under general direction on complex projects, issues, and problems.
  • Experience with Jenkins, TFS, TeamCity, or Azure DevOps.
  • Experience developing and maintaining automation frameworks.
  • Experience deploying automated tests across multiple Windows operating systems.
  • Experience developing test plans, designs, and test cases.
  • Ability to self-manage, work decisively, and under direct management supervision.
  • Ability to collaborate with developers to identify the root cause of test automation issues and assist with corrective actions.
