The Payroll Specialist will play a crucial role in the financial operations of Evolution by ensuring precise payroll management and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:- Support the Senior Accountant in the monthly payroll calculations and processing for the organization.
- Collaborate closely with the Operations and Human Resources departments to guarantee accurate payroll reporting.
- Ensure timely and accurate recording of payroll journal entries and accruals in the general ledger.
- Assist in conducting monthly payroll and tip reconciliations as part of the month-end closing activities.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Senior Accountant.
Required Experience & Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in a payroll role within a dynamic environment.
- Proven expertise in all aspects of payroll processing, including payroll tax.
- Experience managing payroll for over 500 employees.
- Self-motivated with a strong commitment to excellence.
- Solid understanding of standard fiscal procedures.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.
- Strong proficiency in computer applications, particularly Microsoft Office, with an emphasis on Excel.
- Fluency in English.
- Outstanding multitasking and organizational capabilities.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
