- Consult with industry experts to discuss cost estimates and stay up-to-date on industry trends.
- Identify and quantify all cost factors involved in the project, using advanced mathematical skills and computer software.
- Prepare and present cost reports for clients, providing clear and concise information.
- Review expenditure statements throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as a cost estimator, with a strong track record of success.
- Advanced knowledge of construction and engineering processes, including blueprints and technical drawings.
- High-level mathematical skills, with proficiency in computer estimation software.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information to clients.
- Advanced analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks.
- Good project management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Ability to travel, with a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
