Role Overview:

We are seeking experienced Cloud Engineers to enhance our Cloud Competency Center. In this role, you will be responsible for building, configuring, operating, and scaling numerous OpenShift platforms that function in both public and private cloud environments. These platforms are crucial for hosting Amadeus' global services, which cater to over 200 airlines and 6000 hotel properties. This position places you at the forefront of Amadeus' technological evolution, enabling various business segments to utilize the advantages of modern cloud-native applications. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence a few days a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with a diverse team of technology experts from various global locations.
  • Engage with cutting-edge technologies, particularly OpenShift, within an agile framework.
  • Propose innovative solutions and drive continuous enhancements to ensure rapid and reliable platform evolution.

  • Deploy, configure, and manage PaaS (RedHat OpenShift) platforms across cloud environments.
  • Establish and implement effective monitoring, alerting, and policies as code.
  • Advocate for cloud optimizations and best practices to enhance reliability, stability, and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with Architects and Software Engineers to initiate new projects.
  • Conduct proofs of concept and studies to introduce new features to the PaaS platform.
  • Work with the developer community to align their business goals with practical prototypes.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher.
  • Over 5 years of relevant experience in operational service roles, with at least 1 year in cloud/PaaS and DevOps technologies.
  • A passion for adopting new technologies and presenting innovative solutions.
  • Experience managing large-scale environments.
  • A natural problem solver who embraces challenges.
  • Enjoys working within a diverse team that brings a global perspective to solution design.
  • Solid understanding of scalability, stability, and security issues in customer-centric cloud applications.
  • Familiarity with managing Kubernetes or OpenShift clusters.
  • Basic knowledge of programming languages such as Python, Java, Go, Groovy, and Terraform.
  • Proficient scripting skills (Shell, Python, Ansible).
  • Experience troubleshooting network, security, and infrastructure issues is advantageous.
