Junior Electronic Security Systems Engineer

Objective

Assist the Sales & Engineering divisions in managing diverse projects throughout the pre-sales and post-sales phases, focusing on technical tasks such as material takeoffs, schematic drawings, bill of materials, and system design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on Request for Proposals by preparing takeoffs, generating bills of materials, and establishing pricing structures.
  • Develop preliminary design schematics (Spots & Dots), detailed shop drawings, submission drawings, and As-Built documentation according to client specifications and feedback from site evaluations.
  • Produce engineering packages and design drawings following project completion.
  • Offer support to both internal and external engineering teams on projects of medium to high complexity.
  • Receive guidance from internal and external engineering teams for projects of lower to medium complexity (functional team support based on project needs).
  • Assist in internal project review processes to ensure engineering support.

Qualifications:

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Electromechanical Engineering.
  • At least 1 year of experience in Fire Alarm, Security, CCTV, or construction design roles.
  • Intermediate proficiency in electronic security systems, including access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, fire alarm systems, and building automation.
  • Competent in AutoCAD.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining a constructive attitude.
  • Strong and professional communication skills, with the capability to engage effectively with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient business-level English (B2+ and above).
  • Eagerness to learn about best practices and equipment in electronic security design.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Revit is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with NFPA 70 (NEC) and NFPA 101 (Life Safety Code) is beneficial.
  • Brand certifications (e.g., SoftwareHouse, Kantech, Lenel, ExacqVision, ProWatch) are highly regarded.
