Purpose & Overall Relevance: Ensure accurate and timely execution of key responsibilities in the Adidas Global Business Services according to the Accounting Manual for specific areas of responsibility. As a general functional expert, you will lead processes and deliver services with your team. Key Responsibilities: Lead daily operations and month-end closing activities to ensure high-quality records and resolution of open items. Maintain accuracy and correctness of team activities, providing insights into pending or error transactions. Be a Subject Matter Expert for GL / R2R / Financial Reporting topics. Review work prepared by other team members to ensure expected results. Collaborate with GBS teams to verify activity correctness and assist in resolving queries or issues. Review Account reconciliation, ensuring full compliance with pre-defined requirements. Produce routine analyses, schedules, and summaries for internal & external activities. Prepare audit deliverables as required. Coach and motivate team members to achieve targets and KPIs agreed upon (Understand, monitor, and take proper actions). Comply with accounting standards, policies, and procedures. Responsible for process documentation (including creation and updates as required). Maintain close contact with local Finance Teams across Adidas subsidiaries and other GBS located in Europe, Asia, and the Americas, handling daily queries such as mismatch–aging in intercompany and non-reconciled items in open reconciliations. Analyze problems and propose or assess solutions, implementing respective changes. Perform other related duties as assigned. Key Relationships: • Operations team Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Excellent Accounting knowledge (IFRS). Ability to read, write, and communicate in English in a business setting (B2+). Continuous improvement mindset, process orientation, and a solution-orientated work approach. Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills and use of digital tools. Self-motivated and self-directed individual. Experience with SAP, and Power BI is an advantage. Experience in a Shared Service environment is an advantage. Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications: University degree in accounting/Finance/ Controlling or similar. 6+ years of relevant work experience in the accounting/business area. Proven work experience in people management / demonstrated ability to manage a medium-sized team. Estimated salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per year based on industry standards for similar roles and locations.
