Job Overview
Lhr Américas is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Partnership Developer to join our team. As a key member of our business development team, you will play a crucial role in identifying and developing strategic partnerships that drive business growth.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Development Specialist to lead the development of joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) across the Americas region. You will be responsible for evaluating transaction proposals, managing the execution of projects, and negotiating definitive agreements.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough due diligence on target companies, analyzing their financials, operations, and market position.
- Develop valuation models and evaluate business plans to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Lead the negotiation process, drafting non-binding offers, commercial terms, and definitive agreements.
- Manage the validation process, prioritizing business proposals against investment criteria.
- Oversee stakeholder management, working with internal teams, consultants, and potential partners.
- Assemble initial offerings to investors, select suitable investors, and coordinate with internal experts to draft memorandums of understanding and letters of intent.
- Ensure compliance with process stage gates and approvals, approve contract payments and variations, and manage Business Development Analysts.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics, Business, or Finance from a recognized international program.
- At least 10-15 years of experience in business development, including 5 years in joint venture transactions.
- Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), Certified Management Accountant (CMA), or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification advantageous.
- Strong joint venture development background with extensive experience in financial valuation and modeling, due diligence, commercial negotiations, and transaction structuring.
Salary Range: COP 40,000,000 - 80,000,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
