Job Description

Visa is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Automation Engineer to join our Corporate Application and Reliability Engineering Organization. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who thrives in a cross-functional team environment, requires minimal supervision, and designs and develops Automations for various corporate applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Automation Development: Design, develop, and test automation workflows using Automation Anywhere and Power Automate.
  • Process Automation: Deploy process automation components, including bots, robots, virtual agents, development tools, code repositories, and logging tools.
  • Business Process Analysis: Analyze business processes in collaboration with stakeholders and design corresponding automation solutions.
  • Automation Maintenance: Provide ongoing maintenance and support for deployed automation bots and implement enhancements and improvements.
  • Quality Assurance: Follow best practices and standards for coding and design to ensure the efficiency and quality of automation processes.
  • Code Review and Testing: Conduct code reviews and testing to maintain the performance and reliability of the automation.
  • Documentation: Document the detailed design of the automation solution and maintain documentation throughout the project's lifecycle.
  • Process Improvement: Proactively identify, evaluate, and communicate ideas for process improvements and training needs both for applications usage by customers as well as for internal processes and skills enhancement.
  • Compliance and Governance: Adhere to defined Visa SDLC processes, including policy compliance, documentation, solution design, configuration management, testing, and approvals.
  • Support and Service: Adhere to defined support policies, procedures, and service levels with an understanding of SOX-related IT controls.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders in problem definition, business case development, solution selection, requirement elaboration, design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Security and Risk Management: Collaborate with technical and security architects to evaluate risk and recommend remediation coordinate penetration testing activities using internal and external service providers.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications
  • Education and Experience: 5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: 6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Progressively Experienced: Progressively experience in application administration, development, and support.
  • RPA Tools: Requires a minimum of 3+ years progressively experience with RPA tools, specifically Automation Anywhere and Power Automate.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages such as.NET, C#, Python, etc.
  • Database Systems: Familiarity with database systems like SQL Server, Oracle, etc.
  • Workflow-Based Logic: Understanding of workflow-based logic and the ability to conceptualize a business process as an automated solution.
  • Problem-Solving and Analytical Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Communication and Customer-Facing Skills: Exceptional communication and customer-facing skills, able to interact effectively with diverse groups of global stakeholders, both technical and business users.
  • Certifications: Certifications related to RPA, such as the Automation Anywhere Certified Advanced RPA Professional or Microsoft Power Automate certification, are advantageous.
