Role Overview
This position is integral to the manufacturing workflow, adhering to all protocols and procedures set forth by the Engineering Manager and Department Manager, while also managing test packages.
Key Responsibilities
- Offers primary and secondary technical support for the manufacturing team.
- Provides expert guidance to non-technical teams regarding production processes.
- Develops, oversees, and updates machine configurations and job setups.
- Aids in the deployment of software, updates, hardware, and operating systems for industrial equipment.
- Collaborates with IT teams on the installation of new machinery, including networking and computer setups.
- Facilitates production solutions through design, testing, validation, and implementation within established timelines.
- Conducts test packages and assists in executing unit tests (SIT, UAT, First Off) alongside production teams.
- Designs and prototypes processes for various machines.
- Implements technical and procedural enhancements for production and pre-production systems.
- Contributes to New Product Industrialization (NPI) initiatives for local, global, or central projects.
- Assists in the validation of new system software.
- Works closely with the maintenance team to provide support on both software and hardware issues.
- Monitors and maintains process parameters in accordance with established standards.
- Generates reports on production metrics, including machine uptime and time between failures.
- Documents production challenges, including worker errors and machinery issues.
- Creates and sustains a knowledge base of known support issues and their resolutions.
- Addresses routine problems that may occasionally require interpretation or deviation from standard procedures.
- Communicates information that necessitates some level of explanation or interpretation.
- Operates under moderate supervision.
Candidate Profile
Preferred qualifications include an Electronic Engineering degree with less than two years of experience and a conversational English proficiency of B2 or higher.
