Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Accountant to join our team in Bogotá. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining general ledger accounting for operational cash accounts, cash investments, accounts payable, and employee travel reimbursements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute accounting for operational cash accounts, cash investments, accounts payable, and other key areas
  • Manage accounts payable electronic mailbox to ensure all vendor communications have been addressed
  • Participate in invoice management process to ensure appropriate accounting recognition and proper approvals of invoices
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of payments to vendors
  • Reconcile accounts payable balances with supplier statements
  • Manage and execute fund transfers, monitoring cash flows to ensure sufficient funds for daily operations
  • Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliation reports associated with accounting month-end close
  • Build and maintain a strong relationship with North America Accounting department to ensure smooth month-end processes
  • Participate in global month-end close procedures for certain Latin America entities
  • Assist US accounting and reporting team to complete US GAAP financial statements
  • Contribute to proper completion of statutory accounting and reporting for Latin American markets
  • Act as subject matter expert for ERP system (NetSuite) and other process improvement initiatives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or administration
  • 5+ years of related professional experience with accounting and treasury
  • Fluent in both Spanish and English
  • Experience with corporate governance and controls management, including processes and systems
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving analytical skills
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines across stakeholders
  • Experience and desire to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Adequate accounting knowledge, including basic understanding of accounting systems
  • Concur and NetSuite experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Integrity – implements and upholds company values
