Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Practice Engineer II to join our team at Rackspace. As a key member of our cloud engineering team, you will be responsible for implementing our organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective, including design, planning, integration, maintenance, and support of cloud architecture.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement well-architected cloud solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to evaluate cloud systems and identify appropriate solutions.
  • Develop and execute cloud implementation strategies within our existing IT infrastructure.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures.
  • Implement automation/DevOps best practices for CI/CD, IaC, Containerization, etc.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to customers on cloud-based technical architectures, migrations, and application optimization.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our cloud solutions remain competitive and innovative.
Requirements:
  • Fluent, bi-lingual (Spanish and English) communication skills.
  • 2+ years of experience in cloud engineering or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS.
  • Experience with cloud security, compliance, and governance.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, such as Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD tools, such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI.
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure as code (IaC) tools, such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Understanding of containerization, orchestration, and serverless computing.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based monitoring and logging tools.
  • Experience with cloud-based identity and access management (IAM) systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based security best practices and compliance frameworks.
Desired:
  • AWS, GCP, or Azure certifications.
  • Experience with cloud-based data storage and database management.
  • Knowledge of cloud-based networking and compute services.
  • Understanding of cloud-based security and compliance frameworks.
