We are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to join our team at MPC Energy Solutions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the environmental and H&S compliance of our projects portfolio, working closely with our Sustainability Manager and project teams.
Your Responsibilities:- Support the development and implementation of our Environmental & Social Management System, ensuring compliance with local regulations, international guidelines, and industry standards.
- Contribute to the development of MPCES policies and guidelines related to E&S topics, in collaboration with our Sustainability Manager and project teams.
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for environmental and H&S programs across all project cycles, ensuring a proactive approach to environmental protection and sustainable practices.
- Lead the development and implementation of the Environmental & Social Management Plan at the project level, working closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors.
- Support the process of obtaining E&S permits and licenses, and collaborate with regulatory agencies and environmental organizations to stay abreast of environmental developments and best practices.
- Monitor and report environmental activities and data, and report any issues that create a significant risk at the project level.
- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, civil engineering, or a related field; a master's degree is preferred.
- Proven experience (5+ years) in a similar position, within the renewable energy industry in the region.
- In-depth knowledge of global environmental regulations, codes, and standards applicable to renewable energy projects.
- Experience in conducting environmental impact assessments and developing sustainability strategies.
- Proficiency in developing and delivering environmental and sustainability training programs.
- Strong understanding of ESG principles, frameworks, and international guidelines, including experience in ESG reporting.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, an ability to build relationships and trust with a wide variety of stakeholders, and an ability to work within a team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Spanish and fluent English are essential.
