Job Overview

As a Financial Analyst, you will contribute to the overall success of Subsidiary Accounting operation in Canada for Finance Services Unit ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transaction Processing: Ensure that the transactions booked in the GL systems reflect the economic reality, considering the timely and accurate processing of financial transactions for the bank's subsidiaries and guaranteeing the reasonableness of accounting information under the scope of the Accounting Team in Bogotá.
  • Accountabilities: Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain all the supporting documentation updated.
  • Open Items: Follow up on open items in accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Financial Analysis: Prepare and analyze Balance sheet reconciliation.
  • Reporting: Prepare, analyze, and issue accounting and technical reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar professions (general knowledge of banking is a plus).
  • Experience: Experience with computerized ledger systems.
  • Skills: Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, ability to function well in a team-oriented environment, solid understanding of accounting principles, knowledge of Excel and basic English skills (reading and writing).
