As a Machine Learning Practice Director for AI Engineering and Innovation, you'll play a pivotal role in driving our organization-wide AI transformations. Our focus lies in building robust ML Infrastructure, identifying and scaling the most impactful AI use cases, and fostering a culture of innovation across industries like Healthcare & Life Sciences, Retail & CPG, Media & Entertainment, Manufacturing, and Internet businesses.
About the RoleThis is a unique opportunity to lead a high-performing team of ML engineers, drive technical excellence, and influence cross-functional teams. As a Practice Director, you'll be responsible for building and maintaining a collaborative team of individuals working towards a common goal. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping our company's AI strategy, ensuring we stay at the forefront of industry trends and best practices.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and mentor a team of experienced ML engineers, fostering a culture of innovation and knowledge sharing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive AI adoption, define technology roadmaps, and implement cutting-edge solutions.
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of industry trends, emerging technologies, and market best practices.
- Drive the development of reusable components of ML pipelines, ensuring seamless integration with our existing infrastructure.
- Contribute to the creation of high-quality training datasets, leveraging human annotators and diverse data sources.
- Provide technical guidance and oversight for the productionizing of ML models, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.
- Participate in meetups, conferences, and community-building initiatives to stay updated on industry developments and best practices.
- Proven experience in leading high-performing teams, with a strong track record of people management and technical leadership.
- Deep understanding of ML project lifecycles, with expertise in areas such as NLP, CV, forecasting, recommender systems, and reinforcement learning.
- Strong understanding of Python patterns and best practices, with experience in writing deep learning models from scratch.
- Ability to justify and explain design choices, with a strong understanding of model post-production and maintenance.
- Experience with AWS/other cloud/open source alternatives/MLOps platforms, frameworks, and libraries.
- Practical experience with creating training datasets involving human annotators, as well as various data sources (OLTP, OLAP, DataLake, Streaming).
- Strong communication and diplomatic skills, with the ability to explain decisions, status, and roadmaps to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
As a Machine Learning Practice Director for AI Engineering and Innovation, you'll enjoy a competitive salary ranging from $180,000 to $250,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
