Located in CO - Cali, this EHS Specialist Lead role is a key position within Goodyear's team, led by GABRIELLE RICHTMANN.

Primary Purpose and Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the EHS system requirements, based on ISO45001 and ISO14001 standards and local laws. This involves conducting and monitoring integrated corporate audits of EHS processes.

  • Evaluate and ensure compliance with new and current legislation on EHS issues.
  • Support and strengthen EHS culture within the organization.
  • Develop and implement EHS strategies to support the main goal of 'Zero Serious Injury.'
Main Responsibilities

This role requires adherence to company policies and global EHS objectives. The ideal candidate will ensure that the EHS management system complies with ISO45001 and ISO14001 requirements.

  • Support internal and external audits of EHS processes and systems.
  • Review, analyze, and manage the implementation of new mandatory EHSS and/or legal requirements.
  • Develop EHS activities and support in the realization of EHS projects.
  • Support meeting of the Integrated Management Systems Committee.
  • Support action plans for the closure of non-conformities of EHS audits.
  • Coordinate training in EHS for plant personnel.
  • Manage statistics and trends in terms of EHS.
  • Support ISO 9001, ISO14001, ISO 45001, and IATF16949.
Education and Certifications

The required qualifications include:

A graduate degree in Engineering (Industrial, Chemistry, Safety or Environmental), occupational health professional, or professional in EHS (SST). A license in SG-SST (Sistema de Gestión en Seguridad y Salud en el Trabajo) is also necessary.

Experience

At least 3 years of experience in safety, industrial hygiene processes, and/or environmental fields, and a minimum of 2 years in industrial processes are required. Desired experience includes working in plants with labor unions.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

The ideal candidate should possess communication skills, the ability to work in interdisciplinary teams, problem-solving skills, leadership abilities, creativity, and excellent interpersonal relationships.

Estimated salary range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience and location.
