Role Overview: The Purchasing Specialist will play a crucial role in managing and supporting procurement activities within the organization. This position involves overseeing aged purchase requests and ensuring effective communication with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in monitoring aged purchase requests, ensuring they are managed appropriately.
- Conduct Transactional Quality checks to verify that Purchase Orders (POs) are accurately created, including essential details such as BORG information, SAP facts, currencies, delivery timelines, and quantities.
- Maintain constant communication with suppliers and internal users regarding FES Purchase Orders, utilizing both verbal and written methods.
- Escalate complex procurement issues to the FES Category Procurement Leader for resolution.
- Enhance the knowledge management practices within the FES Team, contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
- Resolve non-complex issues in collaboration with operations users, applying problem-solving skills effectively.
- Propose necessary documentation changes and process enhancements as required.
- Track deviations and report nonconformances using the QUEST system.
- Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to optimize procurement processes.
- Utilize all mandated procurement tools as per established processes, including SAP, PowerBI, Ariba, ASL, and QUEST.
Qualifications:
- A strong interest in developing a career in Procurement, Supply Services, or Purchasing.
- Demonstrated excellent attitude, presentation skills, and ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Proactive and results-oriented mindset with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Intermediate proficiency in English is preferred; knowledge of Portuguese is a significant advantage.
- A keen interest in learning about the Oil, Gas, and Energy sectors.
