Purpose
As a key member of the Global Technology Services team in Canada and globally, you will contribute to the overall success of the organization by executing specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. You will ensure that all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures.

Accountabilities


• Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge.


• Oversee vulnerabilities pertaining to host audits and patching cadences for infrastructure and application servers.


• Collect and analyze critical application assets remediation efforts.


• Analyze vulnerability and remediation data and create reporting dashboards.


• Identify and articulate the means to resolution/remediation of servers as part of the contribution to BNS Security Risk Index scores.


• Generate reports attesting to remediation findings.


• Generate detailed tracking of assets that exceed defined BNS policy thresholds.


• Identify IT and Business owner mappings to server assets.


• Collaborate effectively with multi-functional teams and Technology partners to advance remediation activities.


• Contribute to and be a part of a collaborative team environment.


• Review performance reports, assist with the weekly, monthly reporting, and ensure timely resolution of issues.


• Develop and produce professional spreadsheets from different data sources.


• Investigate using available tools and countermeasures to remedy detected vulnerabilities and recommend solutions and best practices.


• Understand how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.


• Actively pursue effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with ScotiaBank's Values, its Code of Conduct, and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions, and conduct risk.


• Champion a high-performance environment and contribute to an inclusive work environment.

Education/Experience

  • Superior English written and verbal communications with good presentation skills and collaborative orientation skill set (must be advanced).
  • Highly familiar or experienced in Vulnerability Management/Cybersecurity & Server compliance.
  • Understanding of Vulnerability Management and Tool sets (Tenable) equating into a strong working knowledge of information security principles and security operations.
  • Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Advanced in PowerPoint and presentation skills.
  • Strong Power BI knowledge and experience.
  • Strong Database and Report development knowledge.
  • Strong ServiceNow knowledge.
  • Exacting in following procedural documents.
  • Ability to analyze data and assess vulnerabilities in infrastructure (software, hardware, networks).
  • Strong people management and time management abilities.
  • Highly familiar with Network and Operational System version and protocols (all O/S).
