Job Title: Database Administrator

Job Summary:

Diligent Consulting Inc is seeking a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team. As a Database Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining database systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Database Design and Implementation: Design and implement database systems to meet business requirements, ensuring data integrity and security.
  2. Performance Tuning: Monitor and optimize database performance using tools such as AWR, ADDM, Explain Plan, and SQL Trace.
  3. Backup and Recovery: Develop and implement database backup and recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
  4. Cloud Management: Manage cloud-based database services on AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, Redshift) to ensure scalability and reliability.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams to optimize database queries and design.

Requirements:

  1. Proficiency in MongoDB: Proficiency in MongoDB is required.
  2. Operating Systems: Proficiency in operating systems including UNIX (AIX, Solaris), Linux, and Windows.
  3. Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms, specifically AWS (RDS, EC2, S3, Redshift).
  4. Database Management Tools: Strong knowledge of database management tools and utilities: DBArtisan, SQL Server Management Studio, pgAdmin, and MongoDB Compass.
  5. Performance Tuning: Expertise in performance tuning and optimization using AWR, ADDM, Explain Plan, and SQL Trace.
  6. Shell Scripting: Proficiency in shell scripting for automation.
  7. Education and Experience: 4+ years of experience in Database Administration and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
