At Solvo, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Operations Specialist to support our growing business. As an Accounts Receivable and Payable Expert, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of our customer invoicing and vendor payment process.

Job Overview

This position is responsible for managing accounts receivable and payable operations, generating and distributing customer invoices, and monitoring customer payments. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Accounts Receivable and Payable Management: Ensure accurate and timely processing of customer invoices and vendor payments.
  2. Invoice Generation and Distribution: Generate and distribute customer invoices accurately and on time.
  3. Customer Payment Monitoring: Monitor and track customer payments, following up on overdue accounts.
  4. Payment Reconciliation: Apply payments to customer accounts accurately and reconcile any discrepancies.
  5. Customer Billing Inquiries: Investigate and resolve customer billing inquiries or disputes in a timely manner.
  6. Performance Tracking: Develop and maintain dashboards and reports to track performance.
  7. Special Projects: Participate in special projects as assigned by management.
  8. Vendor Statement Reconciliation: Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
  9. Vendor Invoice Preparation: Prepare self-bill vendor invoices and payments.
  10. Month-End and Year-End Closing: Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities, including accruals, reconciliations, and reporting.
Process Improvement and Compliance
  1. Process Identification: Identify opportunities for process improvements in AP and AR workflows.
  2. Process Streamlining: Streamline and automate financial processes to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  3. Compliance: Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting principles, and relevant regulations.
  4. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and support.
  5. Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations and sales, to resolve issues and address inquiries.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • 2+ Years of Experience: Proven working experience as AP/AR associate.
  • Advanced Excel Skills: Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think critically and take action without direction.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education: Professional degree in Accounting or related field.

Experience: 1 year minimum of experience in AP/AR operations.

Vacancies: 1 position available.

Estimated Salary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on location (Bogotá, Medellin, Barranquilla, Bucaramanga, Armenia, or Cali).
