Floral Arranger

At Hy-Vee, we're seeking a skilled Floral Designer to join our team. As a key member of our floral department, you'll be responsible for creating stunning floral arrangements that exceed our customers' expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements for customers, using a variety of flowers, foliage, and other materials.
• Take floral orders in person and over the phone, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
• Operate as a lead with the floral clerks, providing guidance and support as needed.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to company standards and safety protocols.
• Collaborate with colleagues to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required; three years of similar or related work experience preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Basic knowledge of floral products, care, and handling, as well as plant and flower identification.

Working Conditions:

The Floral Designer will work in a fast-paced store environment, with exposure to dirt, noise, and temperature extremes. Some holidays may require extended hours.
