Floral Arranger

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled Floral Designer to join our team at Hy-Vee. As a Floral Designer, you will be responsible for creating beautiful floral arrangements, taking customer orders, and maintaining a clean and organized floral department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and create floral arrangements for customers
• Take customer orders and provide excellent customer service
• Maintain a clean and organized floral department
• Operate as a lead with the floral clerks
• Order flowers and supplies daily
• Deliver product as necessary

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Three years of similar or related work experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Visual requirements include vision from less than 20 inches to more than 20 feet with or without correction

Working Conditions:

The duties for this position are normally conducted in a store environment. There is significant pressure to meet deadlines and handle multiple priorities. Some holidays may require extended hours.

Equipment Used to Perform Job:

Standard tools and equipment used in a floral environment including computer, underwater cutter, wire cutter, pricing gun, dosetron, scissors, knives, pick machine, register system, helium tank, and telephone.

Contacts:

Has daily contact with the general public, customers, suppliers/vendors and FTD and Teleflora.

Confidentiality:

Maintains confidentiality on orders placed (including, who sent, who received, order, and cost).
