Fullstack Software Engineer Specialist

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Fullstack Software Engineer Specialist to join our team at ScotiaTech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust software applications for Canadian Banking.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software applications using Angular/React front-end development and Java Spring Boot back-end development.
- Develop enterprise, cloud native, message driven, test driven, reactive, containerized applications.
- Collaborate with multiple teams across the bank to ensure solutions are aligned with the technology roadmap.
- Participate in design discussions focused on building the best customer experience.
- Assist in architectural solution designs, roadmaps, and related strategies that are aligned to Enterprise Security Standards.
- Present and leverage technical information and solutions to establish trust relationships, persuade stakeholders, and achieve understanding and consensus at all levels.
- Assess and analyze business strategy & requirements, the current technical environment, and technology options to evaluate solution alternatives that meet business needs and bank strategy.
Requirements:
- 3+ years experience with Angular/React front-end development and Java Spring Boot back-end development.
- Experience of developing enterprise, cloud native, message driven, test driven, reactive, containerized applications.
- Well-rounded knowledge of Agile principles and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments.
- Familiar with software security tools like BlackDuck, Fortify, and SonarQube.
- Strong knowledge of network communications, security protocols, and trouble shooting.
- Hands-on experience in developing applications with KAFKA, ActiveMQ/Azure Service Bus, RDBMS, NoSQL, Redis.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages: Java 11, Shell Script, XML, YAML, JSON, Apache Velocity, Apache Groovy.
- Strong hands-on programming skills with popular developer utility tool suites like Eclipse/STS, JIRA/Bitbucket/Confluence, Git, Gradle/Maven.
