Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our talented multi-disciplinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for data engineering, modern data infrastructure practices, and patterns. They should be well-versed in SQL and modern data technologies, able to drive the extraction of business requirements for data transformations, assess data quality, and possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert-level SQL support and data engineering services to our clients.
  • Collaborate with the team and stakeholders to define data source accuracy and validation requirements.
  • Design, build, maintain, and manage data ingestions, data models, orchestrations, transformations, and validation tests.
  • Work closely with source data systems to extract and prepare data for analytics and testing.
  • Evolving the data architecture collaboratively with technical and business teams.
  • Delivering value for our clients in an Agile environment.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in a data engineering role, with expertise in ETL, data warehousing, data lakes, lakehouses, pipelines, modeling, and data quality validation.
  • Experience with data ingestion, modeling, and conformance/compliance validation.
  • Expert-level skills with SQL, statistical analysis, and data validation.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Strong interaction skills with others, using sound judgment and a steady professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.
  • BA or BS degree in a technical or quantitative field (e.g., computer science, statistics).
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Experience in the financial services industry, specifically corporate loan processing, risk, and reporting experience a plus.
