At South Pole, we are seeking a talented professional to join our Carbon Portfolio Offering & Procurement team. About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to meeting the growing demand for climate action and optimizing the portfolio of carbon credits.
As a Carbon Portfolio Developer, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality carbon credit proposals and providing valuable support to key account managers and business developers. You will also lead regional Carbon Procurement for the Latin America region, guiding the regional team to effectively execute our global Projects & Markets strategy within the region.
You will develop strong relationships with project developers, retailers, intermediaries, and wholesale companies active in carbon markets, supporting the optimization of South Pole's carbon offset portfolio.
To excel in this role, you will have at least a University degree in a relevant field (e.g., Environmental Management, Sustainability) or a broader field with evidence of a focus on environmental or sustainability issues (e.g., Engineering, Business/Management/Finance). You should have at least one year of relevant work experience in portfolio management, consulting, or similar areas.
We offer a competitive salary of $85,000 - $115,000 per annum, depending on your qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and cost of living considerations for the region where you will be working.
Our ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, intermediate IT skills (especially regarding CRM, Excel, and/or Google Sheets), and outstanding interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills to partner effectively with key internal and external stakeholders. Proficiency in Spanish and English is required, with fluency in Portuguese being an asset.
