About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Science Hub at Prodigious, a leading global marketing and advertising agency. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will play a key role in defining, modernizing, centralizing, and stewarding all foundational elements of data management and enabling delivery of value-driven analytics-ready data at scale across all lines of business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive and advance existing end-to-end workflow processes to ensure efficient and effective data operations.
  • Take ownership of proper data governance and conduct data quality checks in collaboration with teams to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Prepare documentation for workflow automation and new pipeline development to ensure seamless integration and scalability.
  • Drive the audit process automation to ensure accuracy and efficiency in data management.
  • Utilize ETL tools to extract data from data sources, filter, and transform the data for use in reporting and analysis.
  • Develop, deliver, and maintain the BigQuery data lake to provide a centralized repository for data storage and analysis.
  • On-board new data sources to the data lake to ensure comprehensive data coverage.
  • Collaborate with the project management team for key data operation projects to ensure timely and successful delivery.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of data engineering experience with a strong background in cloud infrastructure and ETL tools.
  • Proficient in Python and experience with relational SQL databases.
  • Experience working with Google Cloud Platform tools and ETL tools (Alteryx).
  • Ability to work in teams and collaborate with others to clarify requirements and ensure successful project delivery.
  • Knowledge of marketing and advertising principles is not required, but you are expected to learn and understand the business logic behind the numbers to aid media teams and analysts in producing insights for clients.
