At Takeda Pharmaceutical, we are seeking an exceptional Medical Science Liaison Lead Strategist to join our team. As a key member of our Medical Affairs department, you will be responsible for aligning and executing the strategic plan for engagement with the scientific community.

About the Role

This is a dynamic role that requires strong leadership, managerial, and interpersonal skills. You will oversee the effective and efficient functioning of individual MSLs and the MSL team, while also leading cross-functional work in the overall patient journey.

  • Coach, train, and manage MSL performance, ensuring excellence in execution of their role towards achieving strategic and tactical goals.
  • Establish strong career pathways through development planning of team and oneself, ensuring talent engagement and retention.
  • Develop and execute tactical Medical Engagement Plans and MSL tools aligned with the Brand strategic focus.

You will also be responsible for ensuring that MSLs hold robust current scientific knowledge to facilitate timely, appropriate, and balanced scientific exchanges with key external experts.

The ideal candidate will have a medical professional background (MD), 3-5 years of experience as an MSL, people management experience, and knowledge of CRM platforms. Fluency in English and Spanish is required.
