Job Description:- Analyze the financial statements of issuer companies of medium size and/or complex entities with support from the manager and senior analyst.
- Conduct surveillance of rated debt issues and issuers' ratings, and may act as a primary analyst for less complex entities.
- Demonstrate an understanding of rating principles, a working knowledge of BRC S&P Ratings criteria, and contribute to researching criteria development needs.
- Conduct the analysis of credit using BRC Ratings - S&P Global's rating methodology and standards, Excel, financial models, financial data, and financial statement analysis.
A Bachelor's Degree in a related study of Finance, Accounting, or Economics is required. Postgraduate studies in a business-related field such as economics, business, or financial engineering (and may be pursuing an advanced or business degree) are preferred. At least 3 years of applicable work experience in market or credit risk analysis, FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis), Accounting, Investment, Accounting, Economics, or other related field is required.
Advanced skills with Microsoft Office tools (particularly advanced Excel skills) are required. Must have strong communication (verbal and written) skills, and be bilingual in English and Spanish. Familiarity with the market in Colombia is required. Must be detail-oriented and organized.
