Job Summary: The Department of Otolaryngology at the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist to join its Laryngology and Head & Neck Oncology practices. The successful candidate will work closely with experienced Otolaryngologists in the outpatient setting, primarily focusing on the evaluation and management of complex voice, airway, and swallowing disorders in adult patients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with Laryngologists to treat patients with voice-related disorders, including professional voice users and singers.
- Evaluate and manage patients with dysphagia, including those with head and neck cancer, neurologic disorders, and functional etiologies.
- Participate in a multidisciplinary team to evaluate and manage new and return patients, provide pre-operative and post-operative education and care, and coordinate care with providers within and outside the University setting.
- Perform specialized procedures, including videolaryngostroboscopic examinations, computerized acoustic and aerodynamic analysis, and history taking.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on evaluation results and patient goals.
Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a United States accredited institution.
- Ability to obtain a Colorado Speech-Language Pathology license.
- Preferred qualifications include experience in vocal performance and pedagogy, completion of a clinical fellowship with an emphasis on voice and dysphagia-related disorders, and strong leadership skills.
