About the Role

We are seeking a skilled UEFN Programmer to join our team at Teravision Games. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing and optimizing Unreal Engine technology within Fortnite Islands using UEFN.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Gameplay Mechanics Development: Design, implement, and optimize gameplay mechanics and features for Fortnite Islands using UEFN.
  • Custom Tools and Scripts: Develop and maintain custom tools and scripts to enhance the creation and iteration process within UEFN.
  • Collaboration with Designers: Work closely with designers to implement gameplay features, ensuring they are fun, engaging, and performant.
  • Troubleshooting and Resolution: Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to gameplay, performance, and scalability within Fortnite Islands.
  • Performance Optimization: Optimize game performance, focusing on load times, memory usage, and CPU/GPU utilization.
  • Integration of New Content: Work with the team to integrate new content and features into the Fortnite ecosystem, ensuring compatibility and stability.
  • Documentation and Sharing: Document and share best practices for UEFN within the team.
Requirements:
  • Scripting Languages: Proficiency in scripting languages like Verse, Lua, or C#.
  • Game Development Experience: Experience in game development projects.
  • Version Control Systems: Familiarity with version control systems like Git, Unreal Revision Control, or Perforce.
  • Solid Understanding of Game Development Workflows: A solid understanding of game development workflows.
  • Collaboration and Independent Work: Ability to work collaboratively within a team, as well as independently.
Nice to Have:
  • Previous Experience in Developing Content for Fortnite or Similar Large-Scale Online Games: Previous experience in developing content for Fortnite or similar large-scale online games.

We estimate the salary for this position to be around $80,000 per year, based on industry standards and the location of the company in Bogotá, Colombia.
