About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Accountant to join our team at Wärtsilä, a leading innovative technology company in the Marine and Energy markets. As a Tax Accountant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the company's compliance with tax laws and regulations in Colombia.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in the accounts payable process and ensure accurate and timely payment of invoices.
  • Complete monthly analysis and reconciliations of Tax Accounts, ensuring compliance with local taxes and withholdings.
  • Ensure the correct application of tax laws and regulations, including Sales, VAT, import tax, withholding taxes, and foreign withholdings.
  • Follow up with outsourcing companies to ensure Network WCO compliance with local taxes and withholdings.
  • Comply with all tax and statutory obligations on time, avoiding fines and penalties.
  • Perform monthly analysis and reconciliations of Tax accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Stay up-to-date with Transfer Pricing international regulations and applications in Colombia.
  • Ensure the correct application, support information, and documentation of tax-related matters.
  • Implement and maintain SAP configuration for taxes and withholdings.
  • Contribute to month-end closing and ensure accurate posting of accruals and balances analysis in SAP.
  • Assist with internal and external audit requirements.
  • Coordinate activities with external resources and training on tax activities.
  • Support E-invoicing review and projects.
Requirements
  • Proactive and communicative person to work as a team.
  • Studies completed in accounting.
  • Experience of more than 3 years in tax management in Colombia.
  • Taxes Management.
  • Advanced written and spoken English.
  • Specialization on Taxes Accountability is a plus.
