We are seeking a skilled International Markets Centralized Investigations Professional to join our team at Amazon. As an Employee Relations (ER) Investigator, you will play a crucial role in investigating sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues in Mexico, Colombia, and Costa Rica locations.

The ideal candidate for this position has strong communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrates an ability to earn trust, dive deep, and work successfully on a broad spectrum of HR, employee, and labor relations issues and business challenges. The ideal candidate has demonstrable experience in Human Resources (HR) and Employee Relations.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Investigating highly sensitive HR and Employee Relations issues, including conducting complainant, witness, and subject interviews; analyzing data from various internal systems; case adjudication; proposing remedial action based on investigation findings; production of completed investigation documentation.
  • Independently managing assigned casework, bringing investigations to closure rapidly and definitively.
  • Designing, collecting, and analyzing multiple levels of employee and stakeholder feedback.
  • Analyzing aggregate casework data to identify issue trends and opportunities for proactive issue mitigation.
  • Partnering to engage in continuous improvement of communication vehicles and practices.

This role also requires consulting and collaborating with business partners, Corporate ER teams, Legal teams, and 3rd Party Vendors on complex employee investigations. The individual will work re-actively on critical employee relations issues that are crisis-oriented and typically can only be successfully completed with limited time. Balancing time between projects and crisis-response is a critical component for success in the position.

BALANCING TIME BETWEEN PROJECTS AND CRISIS-RESPONSE IS A CRUCIAL COMPONENT FOR SUCCESS IN THIS POSITION.

We estimate the salary for this role to be around $80,000 per year, depending on qualifications and location.

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a law degree recognized and valid for practice in Colombia. Additionally, they should have 3+ years of experience in Human Resources and/or Employee Relations, as well as 3+ years of experience conducting investigative fieldwork, including complainant, witness, and subject employee interviews, data analysis, and documentation. Experience maintaining strict confidentiality is also required. Advanced English proficiency (C1 level or higher) is preferred.
