About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test to join our Modernization program at Amadeus IT Group Colombia, S.A.S. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a next-generation modern airline retailing platform aligned to industry offer and order retailing concepts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and execute test strategies for modern system architecture
  • Write tests at all levels of the testing pyramid
  • Assist software engineers in writing tests for their own code
  • Own the end-to-end quality and test process
  • Advocate for automated testing as a first-class activity in the dev ops process
  • Implement BDD and TDD concepts as appropriate
  • Work in a context of an agile team
  • Apply best practices in terms of automated testing
  • Share the commitment to deliver quality working software on an agile cadence with aggressive targets around code deployment frequency and cycle time balanced with high quality and reliability
  • Help define and maintain KPIs around testing both before and after deployment to meet these goals
  • Coordinate with SDETs and QA leadership to develop and implement testing best practices
  • Coordinate with Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) to monitor quality in production
Requirements
  • Minimum:
    • BS Degree in Computer Science or related equivalent
    • 2+ years of hands-on experience in automated testing (Unit, Integration, Performance, etc)
    • 2+ years of experience in software development
    • Agile mindset
  • Plus:
    • xUnit experience
    • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps
    • Experience with Azure Dev Ops
    • Knowledge of the Navitaire business or other airline experience
    • Production testing experience
    • Chaos testing experience
    • Experience with JMeter, Locust or other load test tools
    • Experience testing Event Driven Architectures
    • Basic NoSql database knowledge
