As a Contract/Consultant Financial Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the company's financial operations and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of its financial records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Finance Team Lead to close books every month and assume responsibilities as the second in command.
  • Account for loans, fixed assets, non-performing loans, real estate owned assets, fees, prepaid expenses, accrued expenses, and other accounts in accordance with FAS 91 accounting standards.
  • Reconcile select general ledger accounts, including cash and accrual accounts.
  • Coordinate with Loan Administration regarding loan updates and related data in the Accounting system.
  • Generate and file annual 1099 forms with the IRS.
  • Participate in special projects, including the automation of processes through in-house initiatives or third-party vendors, and other duties assigned in support of the Corporate Controller.
  • Ensure timely vendor payments and review accounts payable aging analysis.
  • Set up wires, ACH, and book transfers.
  • Communicate with vendors as required.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, processes, and internal controls.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Requirements:

  • Fluency in English, with exceptional English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent Excel proficiency.
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 2-3 years' general accounting experience and demonstrated technical accounting knowledge.
  • Experience with Sage GL and AP is preferred, but not required.
  • Well-versed in IFRS and/or GAAP accounting.
  • Proficient with Microsoft: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint required; Teams experience preferred.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Proactive approach and strong work ethic.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
